Lesson overview:
In this worksheet, students explore unusual facts about plants, animals and natural phenomena while practising the zero conditional. They first notice the target structure in a short reading and review how if and when are used to describe facts and things that are always true. They then work with texts about the Rafflesia plant, octopuses, rainbows, Venus flytraps, immortal jellyfish and chameleons, completing increasingly controlled grammar tasks in context.
The Teacher’s Version also includes an optional vocabulary lead-in and a Student A/Student B true-or-false activity, so teachers can easily extend the worksheet into a full classroom lesson.
