Lesson overview:

This Christmas phrasal verbs worksheet teaches 12 phrasal verbs that adults use in December and keep using all year: put up, take down, wrap up, run out of, splash out on, chip in, sell out, get together, catch up, dress up, pig out on and put up with. Students meet them in a family group chat and match each one to its meaning. They choose the right particle, complete an office email about the holiday party, and practice the difference between put up and put up with. A short rule card shows where the pronoun goes, so students can fix mistakes like wrap up them and catch him up with. They spot the word that does not go with each verb, rewrite sentences with a phrasal verb, and finish by answering questions about their own December.
