Lesson overview:
This worksheet gives your students words to use instead of cold and then teaches the phrases those words live in. Crisp goes with air and morning. Golden goes with leaves. Drizzle takes light and never heavy. Trees go bare, leaves turn red and gold, dry leaves crunch underfoot, and somebody has to rake them. Half the sheet is that pairing work, because knowing the word overcast is not the same as knowing it goes with sky and day and nothing else.
