Lesson overview:
In this lesson, your students will break the taboo and dive into the world of periods 🩸! They’ll read relatable dialogues: a woman chatting with her doctor about period symptoms, two friends👩🏻🦰👩🏽 debating pads, tampons, and menstrual cups, and a moment when someone’s period catches them off guard and they need a pad ASAP❗️. With these real-life scenarios, students will pick up🧠 some juicy vocabulary like cramps, leakage, heavy flow, and menstrual cup. They’ll build confidence using this vocabulary in a variety of 🗣 activities. By the end, your students will be pros at talking about periods naturally and comfortably!
In 60 minutes, students will:
