Lesson overview:

This A1–A2 lesson plan helps students learn and practice vocabulary for body parts through interactive games, matching tasks, and reading comprehension. Students will label pictures, complete short texts about people, and practice using words like chin, knee, shoulder, and forehead in context. By the end of the lesson, they’ll confidently describe physical appearance, identify common injuries, and use body-related vocabulary naturally in conversation.

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

  • name and describe major body parts
  • use body vocabulary in short descriptions and dialogues
  • correct spelling mistakes in body-related words
  • talk about physical appearance

Lead-in:

Begin the class by showing pictures of famous people and zoomed-in body parts. Ask: “What can you see?” and “Can you guess the person?” This warm-up sparks curiosity, activates prior vocabulary knowledge, and prepares students for the topic in a playful, visual way.
